Varieties of Idiyappam

Idiyappam:
Usually Idiyappam is made as plain and is served with any gravy(veg.or non.veg.).But in my kitchen I usually make 4 types of Idiyappam. Sweet Idiyappam,Jaggery Idiyappam,Lemon Idiyappam,Tamarind Idiyappam.
Making of Idiyappam First:
Idiyappam flour(Rice Flour) is spread on a plate.Add little salt.Pour boiled water on it and make flour suitable to make strings.Place the dough in the string making machine and squeeze the string on the Idly making plate and keep it in idly cooker and allow it to boil for 7 min.Then take the boiled idiyappam and keep it in a bowl.
Sweet Idiyappam:
To the plain Idiyappam add sugar,grated coconut,ghee,cardomem powder.Mix all well and add fried cashewnuts.
Jaggery Idiyappam:
To the plain idiyappam,add melted jaggery,grated coconut,cardomam powder,ghee and mix well.
Lemon Idiyappam:
Keep a pan on the stove.pour oil.add cumin seeds,orid dal,red chilly,curry leaves,asofoetida powder,turmeric powder,salt,lemon juice,and fry.add plain idiyappam to it and mix.
Tamaring Idiyappam:
Usually we have tamarind paste at home(named pulikachal).Add it to the plain idiyappam.
