Paal Kolukattai


South Indian Special Paal Kolukattai:
Ingredients:
Boiled rice-1cup(200gms)(pulungal arisi),grated coconut-1cup,Salt-a pinch,Jaggery(Vellam)-4-5 pcs(depending on sweetness reqrd.),cardomom-1 tsp.,Ghee-2tsp.
1.Soak boiled rice for 3-4 hrs.Clean and drain water.
2.Grind it with pinch of salt and grated coconut to very thick doughlike paste by adding very little water.
3.Place half litre water in a large bowl and allow to boil.
3.Place the dough in murukku making machine and squeeze in the boiled water which was kept on the stove.squeeze all the dough.
4.Allow to cook for 15min.
5.The sustance will become thick.
6.Add the jaggery to it and allow to dissolve.Add cardomom powder to it.
7.When it becomes too thick pour it on the greased plate(by ghee) and allow to cool.
8.Using knife put lines over there.When it is fully cooled take the cakes out and serve.
Delicious paal kolukattai is ready to enjoy.Try this in this weekend and tell your opinion.
