Tomato-garlic thokku:
Ingredients:
Tomato-6(Cut into small pieces),Garlic-15cloveetes(cut to tine pieces),Red chilly powder-2tsp.,oil,gingelly oil,salt,asafotida powder-1/2tsp.,mustard,urad dhal-1tsp.,curry leaves.
1.Place a pan on stove. Pour oil and heat.
2.Add mustard seed and allow to crack.Add asafoetida powder and add urad dhal and allow to fry.
3.To this add curry leaves,cut garlic and fry for 3 min.
4.To this add cut tomatoes and fry for 5min.Now add red chilly powder,salt and fry till the substance does not stick at the bottom of the pan.(The quantity of red chilly powder varies depending upon the spicy you need. Taste and add required chilly powder and salt)
5.Add gingelly oil and stir.Turn off stove.Delicious thokku is reddy to try.
This is used as pickle.Perfect for curd rice. Also perfect side dish for chapathi,idli and dosa.
