Ragi Puttu

Ragi Puttu:


 Apart from doing dosa, adai, koozh, we can make delicious puttu using Ragi. Do you know? Ragi is the only grain which is available pure without contaminated with any other thing. So It is the best food in the world. Kids won...'t eat if you give as dosai or adai. Since it is sweet, they will easily eat without hesitation. And this is easy to make. Hereby I have given step by step procedure of making it.

Ingredients:
Ragi flour- 100gms, sugar-100gms,ghee-1cup,cardomom powder-1tsp.,cashew nuts.

Step:1


First powder the sugar in mixer grinder and keep it aside.
Step:2

Take the ragi flour in a bowl . By sprinkiling water littlie by little, mix the flour gently. Do it till the flour can be pressed to make ball like.Keep the flour in idly plate on the wet cloth.
 
 
Step:3 Cover it with a wet cloth and allow to cook by closing the lid for 7 to 8 minutes
 
Step:4 
Turn of the stove and open the lid and the cloth.Take out the cooked substance and place on a plate.

Make it cool and break the lumps using ladle or hand.
 
Step:6
Now add the powdered sugar to it and mix well. Taste at times to check the sweetness.Also pour ghee and grated coconut, cardamom powder and mix well.
 
                                                                    Step:7

Fry cashew in ghee.
 
Sprinkle the fried cashews on the substance.
Delicious Ragi Puttu is ready to eat.
