Tomato Chutney:
Ingredients:
Tomato-2,Red chilly-7,Urad dal-2tsp,Asafoetida-small piece,mustart-1tsp,curry leaves,oil-3tsp,tamarind-a pinch.
1.Place pan on the stove and heat.Add a tsp oil,put urad dal,piece of asafotida,red chillies and fry till urad dal becomes golden yellow.
2.Keep this in a plate.Then pour a tsp. of oil and add cut tomatoes and fry till raw smell goes off.
3.keep this in the plate and allow to cool.
4.Place all the fried ingredients in the mixie jar and put reqrd. amt. of salt and a pinch of tamarind and grind to a fine paste by adding little water.
5.Transform this chutney in to the serving bowl.
6.Place the pan on stove and pour a tsp.oil and put mustard and allow to crack.Then add curry leaves.
7.Pour this on the chutney and mix well.
Tasty tomato chutney is ready to serve.Serve with Hot idlies or dosas.
