Dhal For Chapathi


Dhal for Chapathi:
Ingredients:
Green gram dal-1cup,potato-1,ginger-5clovettes,Lengthwise cut onion-1cup,green chilly-3,ginger-garlic paste-1tsp.,oil,salt,mustard,urad dal,gram dal,red chilly-1,tomato-1small,Corrionder leaves,curry leaves.
Clean pressure cook dal and potato and keep it aside.
Keep a kadai on the stove and pour a tsp.oil.Add mustard and allow to crack.Add urad dal and gram dal and fry till brown.Add red chilly cut,onion and fry til onion becomes transparent.Add green chilly,tomato,ginger-garlic paste,garlic clovettes and stir for 5 min.Add required water,salt and cook for 10 minutes covered.When the onion is cooked add smashed potato and dal and mix well.Keep this for 5 min.Turn off and add chopped corrionder leaves and curry leaves and serve hot with chapathi or poori.
A cup full of dal with 4 chapathi will make a perfect dinner.
